The candidate for Colorado's 7th Congressional District, Dave Chandler, who was censored by the refusal of organizers to allow third party nominees to participate -- showed up anyway.
Dave handed out flyers explaining his position on a Northwest Beltway and his opposition to the corrupting influence of special interest Political Action Committee money on our politics.
Dave reports that the discussion between Perlmutter and O'Donnell was utterly predictable.
"I could have told you what they were going to say before either of them openned their mouths," said Dave.
"It was pretty much politicians behaving as bickering, traditional politicians."
If Dave had been permitted to participate, the audience would have heard more about the real change we need in our political system.
"Perlmutter claims he is for change," said Dave. "But I think he is talking about thousand and thousands of campaign contribution coins and dollar bills."
"And O'Donnell's attempts to distance himself from George Bush and the radical Republican Party is, well, it would be sad if we didn't know that Bush and Cheney have raised hundreds of thousand of dollars for his campaign."
Dave just says that voters can read about him and his positions on the issues on this web site and they will know who really will bring reform and change to the nation's capital.
"It is still all about 'Principle Before Politics'. That's why you should vote for Dave Chandler for Congress."
This rings the same bell as the national debates, a couple of years ago, when the powers-that-be would not allow Nader to join in the debates. It is sad really. No offense intended to you, by the way. I was more addressing the abandonment by Rick van de Wie(sic?) from running as Secretary of State. The spindoctoring got to him, and then the usual suspects of the local Green Party applauded his decision to support Ken Gordon. The big bipartisan parties do not want us in the sandbox playing with their Tonka trucks, and sadly, on a national and local level, we run from the playground.
