Of which part of his track record are you thinking? His $200 million giveaway to the Illinois coal industry in last year's federal budget for ‘clean coal’ technology or his hiring of David Axelrod, former lobbyist for energy giant Exelon, as his closest political advisor? In his function as a lobbyist for Exelon, Axelrod persistently plugged for ramping up construction of nuclear power plants. Or perhaps it's his endorsement of ethanol as an alternative fuel, payback for Archer-Daniels-Midland who bankrolled his campaign during those first few crucial months? Which of these represents his commitment to a “greener world”?
